The Retro Pillow Crossbody Bag from Chic Atelier takes the barrel shape that keeps returning to fashion and keeps it small. At 24 cm long, 15 cm high and 10 cm deep it is an evening and weekend size, and the rounded pillow form gives it a softness that a hard rectangle never has.
It weighs only three hundred and thirty grams empty, which is the number that matters in a small bag - a heavy shell eats into what you can actually carry. The 100 cm strap is long enough for true crossbody wear, leaving both hands free.
Inside there is more than the size suggests: a slot pocket, a phone pocket and a zip pocket, all behind a zip closure. The finish is PU with a polyester lining, decorated with a lettered detail and a light sequin treatment that catches the light without turning the bag into evening wear only. Four colors are available - black, white, brown and green. Wipe clean with a damp cloth, and store it lightly stuffed so the pillow shape does not flatten in a wardrobe. It carries a phone, a card holder, keys and a small cosmetic easily. That is most of what a day out actually needs, without the weight of a full sized shoulder bag on your arm.
