The Carry-On Travel Duffle Bag from Chic Atelier is sized to the part of travel that causes the most friction. At fifty-two centimeters long, twenty-two deep and twenty-eight high it fits the overhead locker on most short-haul flights and slides under a train seat, so it stays with you rather than disappearing into a hold.
It is made from PU, which is the sensible choice for luggage: waterproof, wipeable, and unbothered by the wet pavements and dirty floors a travel bag meets. At around seven hundred and forty grams it is light enough that the bag itself is not eating your allowance.
The interior is a single large cavity closed with a zip, which is what you want for packing cubes or folded clothes rather than a maze of compartments. Three colors are available: black, grey and dark brown, all solid and all quiet enough to look like luggage rather than a fashion statement. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Because PU can crack if it is folded hard and stored cold, keep it loosely packed rather than crushed flat between trips. It doubles easily as a gym bag or an overnight bag for a single night away. The plain colorways also draw less attention than branded luggage does in transit.
